Castello Dei Baroni is an exclusive wedding venue in Wardija, Malta, offering an enchanting 17th-century castle setting that brings a unique, historical charm to any event. The venue was originally a hunting lodge, built during the reign of Grandmaster Fra Emanuel de Rohan Polduc in 1783. With careful restorations, the castle preserves its medieval grandeur, making it a popular location for weddings and other special occasions
The venue’s medieval reception hall, adorned with high ceilings, antique beams, and a grand fireplace, offers an elegant and authentic atmosphere for indoor events. The hall opens to a landscaped pool area through large French doors, while the surrounding gardens and courtyards provide a beautiful, private backdrop for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Unique features like the internal courtyards and historical artifacts displayed in the upper hall add to the venue’s romantic and magical ambiance.
From a photography point of view, the location main features of interest include the entrance and the garden area (small area near private rooms). If you intend to use the outside area (near the pool) make sure to add some external lights as the location is by default not very well lit.
Castello Dei Baroni can host a range of event sizes, accommodating anywhere from intimate gatherings of 50 to larger celebrations of up to 400 guests. The versatile indoor and outdoor spaces provide flexibility for both small and large wedding parties, with a well-designed layout that ensures guests enjoy a seamless experience across different areas
