I just cannot express sufficiently in words the enthusiasm that I felt when I was approached by Rupesh and Priya to shoot an Indian / Hindu wedding ceremony here in Malta. After my brief meeting with the couple, in view of my interest in spirituality and world cultures, I knew that the occasion would be unique and unmissable.
After preparing myself by reading on the Hindu ceremony ritual and the significance of the symbols used I felt ready to delve myself into this new culture. The ceremony was all held in the Razzett l-Abjad Venue which was setup for the occasion. As you may know, Indian weddings are celebrated over a number of days - in this case over two days. The tradiitonal Hindu wedding ceremony was celebrated on the first day while the second day was reserved for the civil ceremony, a photoshoot and a Gala Dinner.
