It might be difficult to understand and imagine the life in medieval times, however this weekend our imagination was aided by various groups in Malta which did their best to re-enact typical activities from the period.
'The Mdina Medieval Festival organized by the Mdina Local Council is an annual event held in Malta's medieval capital. During the two days of the Festival, the streets and squares of Mdina come alive with re-enactments of scenes from medieval times, like the town crier, a slave market, a medieval kitchen, sword fighting, archery, and medieval tavern. There are also battles and skirmishes, magic shows, live music, falconry displays, parades, flag throwing shows, and more...'
This event attracts quite a number of tourists but also of photographers. I obviously could not miss the opportunity to cover at least some of the events there... I hope you enjoy my journalistic take on day.
