Chateau Buskett enjoys unique location set in the heart of the beautiful Buskett Gardens, with the majestic backdrop of the Verdala Palace. This versatile venue has a variety of indoor and outdoor areas to choose from to accommodate weddings and events of all types and size.
General information
Chateau Buskett is a family run business which has been ongoing for the last 60 years. It all started with entrepreneur Reno, who built The Buskett Roadhouse on the site of an old hunting lodge from the times of the Grand Masters. The venue became known as the place to go in Malta for dining and cabaret entertainment, and was frequented by the most important characters of the time. Reno’s daughter Dorothy & her husband Joseph then continued to host and entertain the locals and tourists featuring artists from all over the world. Now Chateau Buskett is run by their two sons, Rene’ & Jesmond and their families, including their wives & their children, who have grown up helping in the business.
Upon entering the venue the venue has an amazing view of the forest with a background of the Verdala Palace. The venue has a number of locations including a top terrace, a main outdoor area and a wine lounge.
The wine lounge area is often used as a chill out area in a larger wedding reception, with lounge furniture and relaxed atmosphere it is the perfect place to take a break from the dance floor and an ideal place for a Wine Bar & Cheese table. If you are planning to have a civil wedding ceremony, this area can also be set up for this purpose, afterwards moving to the main area for the reception. Whether you dream of an intimate candlelit dinner with close family and friends, or a lavish reception for several hundred guests, the space is versatile and can be set to your requirements.
Photographically, the venue is wonderful for a daylight wedding, and the indoor hall is very well lit to hold an evening wedding. If you wish to use the venue for an evening wedding it would be advised to have some extra lights since the wedding venue is considerably large and some areas are not very well lit, if guests are allowed to use all the areas.
