Montekristo is a multi venue Estate which offers a selection of both outdoor and indoor venues for summer and winter time weddings.

General information

Established in 2005 by Polidano Group, Montekristo Estate represents a novel concept incorporating entertainment facilities, dining out, function venues, as well as a winery and an olive oil mill operation. The Estate may be easily considered unique to the Maltese islands due to its impressive size as well as its extensive versatility.

Located in the heart of the Siggiewi valley, in the limits of Hal Farrug, the Montekristo Estate offers a professional services that include catering, event organization and endless themed function opportunities for both the local and international clientele.

Montekristo Estate operates a selection of flexible, becoming venues that are able to host and accommodate a wide range of functions and activities in its attractive and unusual surroundings. The Estate boasts of no less than ten singular indoor and outdoor venues, all of which ooze individual charm and charisma.

The Palace

The Grand Palace at Montekristo was executed in baroque style by architect Innocent Centorrino and inaugurated in 2017. Surrounding a unique courtyard, the Palace is built using the highest quality hand selected and finished Maltese limestone. All marble flooring and hand crafted wooden ceiling together with the sparkling crystal chandeliers create an unparalleled fairy-tale feel and design. This indoor and outdoor venue also enjoys a fully equipped kitchen making it the most magical, unique and practical venue of all time.

THE ROOF GARDEN

Overlooking ‘Misrah Dielja’ and enjoying breathtaking views of Hal-Farrug Valley and beyond, the Roof Garden is a blooming paradise of tranquility. The uniqueness of this venue is particularly portrayed when sunset meets twilight. It is ideal for both large and small gatherings or as a soothing relaxation area during larger conventions. Its proximity to a kitchen together with two large fixed marble gazeebos, make it the ideal outdoor venue for any event.

IL-VJAL

As the name suggests, this is the main avenue leading to the Grand Palace. Over the years, Il-Vjal was home to numerous large scale outdoor events such as fashion shows, al fresco banquets and weddings among others. This magnificent lantern-lit avenue is the largest outdoor venue on the Estate and is surrounded by luscious greenery.

THE NEW RENAISSANCE

Located right above The Renaissance, this is one of the most flexible venues at Montekristo Estate offering both indoor and outdoor space. Its grand staircase entrance resembles that of a Roman temple with large marble columns offering an elevated terraced, yet roofed entertaining area on the façade. Enjoying a small satellite kitchen, this venue is very convenient and capable of offering endless possibilities. It is also connected to the Renaissance by means of a staircase or elevator for larger conventions and events.

THE WINE VAULTS

At the end of a long tunnel entrance, flanked by exquisite, classical marble statues, stands the impressive vastness of the Montekristo Wine Vaults. This magnificent venue consists of four wide halls separated by magnificent arches under a hand crafted mahogany ceiling reflected on a translucent marble flooring. Wrought iron chandeliers provide the lighting and hidden lamps create a magical atmosphere. Mysterious tunnels, hewn out of living rock, fan out on three sides. One of these tunnels can easily be the setting for unique tailor made events, while the others are intimate and suggestive alcoves, ideal for relatively cosy groups.

With a grand capacity of 1,500 guests standing, the Vaults can accommodate large scale events and banquets, yet offer enough flexibility to host smaller events without losing any of their charm and character. The Montekristo Wine Vaults are supported by two bars and their own satellite kitchen.
